Kiko Miyares
He holds a bachelor in fine-arts at the Public University of the Basque Country. He had his first exhibitions in Bilbao and other related works such as in the assembly department of the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao 2002-2009.
From pictorial training he’s complimented them mainly with sculpture in wood. On this website there are mainly the works in the latter field. The possibilities of representation have become a fundamental point in his work.
The balance between automatic and a planned way of working is shifted towards a way of doing, and is developed between manual labor and an increasingly complex planning. The beings represented in the first moment go, becoming raw material, elements of construction.
