She has trained in the Picasso School specialising in Sculpture and in the CIEC Foundation (International Center of Contemporary Print) in A Coruña.

She has obtained different scholarships to explore the possibilities of contemporary graphics at CIEC Foundation. She has been selected by Antonio López to participate in the III Extraordinary Chair City of Albacete, workshop taught by the artist.

Her approach to the field of public works has left numerous sculptural projects in different parts of Galician geography (A Coruña, Laxe, Vimianzo, Cesuras, Corrubedo, Arteixo …)

In recent years she has participated in numerous exhibition projects, several solo ones (“La Huída” Galería Monty4, A Coruña; “Extraordinary Trips” Mr. Smith’s Mustache, Barcelona…) and groups in A Coruña (MACUF), Santiago de Compostela (Gallery Space 48), Oviedo (Sala Alfara), Salamanca (La Salina, Diputación de Salamanca), Mexico City. She has been present at fairs such as Dress Your Wall (Miscelanea Bcn) or Room Art Fair (Madrid).

Iria’s work includes sculpture, illustration, graphic work and installation. It is a surrealist figuration that powerfully evokes fairy books, magical bestiaries and old prints from another time. She’s passionate about the book-object. Mark Twain, Lewis Carroll, Jules Verne, Henry Holiday, John Tenniel strolled in her iconography, with great influence of lowbrow art or pop surrealism, among others.

Recently in Asturias, she worked in Viña Lithography in the “Paper Sculpture” course on the occasion of the Atlantic Arc Festival, exhibited at the Arancha Osoro gallery in September 2013 and participated in the Oviedo Fair 2013 with Arancha Osoro gallery.
