The contemporary art gallery “Arancha Osoro” is located in front of the Reconquista Hotel, right in the centre of the city of Oviedo, in the north of Spain.
Creation
Recently created, in April 2012, the gallery is part of a creative space that offers various activities, courses and workshops, exhibitions, conferences, meetings and cultural events.
Design
The layout of the gallery aims to create an easy-going and intimate atmosphere. Our proposal is simple: bring current art to the people and do it in an active way that stimulates us, makes us feel and is enjoyable for all.
Creative space
We conceive a different creative space for each exhibition. We program fresh and dynamic activities, receive different proposals that make us think and reflect, while not only discovering new promising artists, but also boosting them in their journey.
All this, without forgetting those artists whose work is enriched by time and serve as a reference and example for the oncoming practitioners.
Artists
We try to be open to the true multimedia artists, get closer to new media such as photography and video, visual installations, art in movement, without forgetting, of course, the most traditional and high quality art.
Arancha Osoro
Oviedo, Spain, 1967
Arancha Osoro holds a degree in Information Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, an M.A. in Marketing and Communications at Emerson College of Boston, Direct Marketing at ESIC of Madrid, and a Masters in Finance at ICADE, Madrid, among others.
Her working experience began in the world of communications and marketing mostly in the city of Madrid, later returning to her hometown, Oviedo.
Coming from a family of artists and with a constant interest in the world of art and its surroundings, she opened a small and intimate gallery called “Ángulo”, located inside the Reconquista Hotel in Oviedo.
Currently, she owns and directs the gallery that bears her name: “Arancha Osoro”.
Her proposal is simple, in this time of constant change with new multimedia supports and the new realities that surround us, it is necessary for art to approach us in a more stimulating and active way. Also, receiving proposals from artists, and discovering new talents, while helping them rise and trying to get them renowned. Another aim is to provide a creative space for multimedia artists, new media, photography and video, without forgetting the most traditional art.
Arancha Osoro Gallery brings art to the public through its activities and promotes very diverse and personal artists.
